New Pictures!!

Last weekend Zach, Taylor and myself went to Van Buren to see everyone! It was nice that Zach got to join us. That doesn't happen very often anymore due to his work schedule. So it was great to have him with us all weekend.
While we were in VB we had Taylor and Heath's pictures made. They turned out great. Kristy form Picturesque Boutique did them for us. She did a fantastic job and I don't know how I am ever going to decide on which ones I want!! Zach and I are planning on sitting down and going through them to decide our favs! That should take awhile!! Here are a few of them, but you can see all of them at http://www.picturesqueboutique.com/

We also went to see Ransom and Brenda's new house. It was beautiful. It has very tall ceilings throughout and my favorite a very large kitchen! The kitchen had an entire wall of windows looking out in the back yard. I can't wait to see it when they have it all painted and decorated.
Little Miss Taylor is growing up fast! She is rolling over, screaming, laughing and scooting all over the place. She is trying to sit up right now. She isn't very steady yet, but she sure tries hard. She will pull her hands back to test it out and normally just fall right over, haha. She is an absolute joy!! We love her so much and can't wait for what she will do next. She has her 6 month visit on Wednesday. I can't believe she is 6 months already. Time sure does fly!!

Memorial Weekend!

We had a great Memorial weekend!! We decided to have everyone over to our house on Sunday for a cookout. Our original plan was guys golfing in the morning and cookout the rest of the afternoon, but rain changed those plans. Instead we just sat around the house, ate lots of food and played battleship. It was great to have my college friends over with their husbands. We all had a great time!

The guys spent all of their time in the garage playing bago.(if that is how you spell it) The girls stayed inside with babies and close to the food! It was pouring down rain when it came time to start the grill. So Zach turned our offset umbrella over the grill and the 4 boys stood under the umbrella and cooked. It was pretty funny to see them all huddled under it.

Taylor and Bronson got to play together for the first time since she was born. When he first got to the house we faced them toward each other. They babbled and coo'd but then Bronson payed no attention to her. He was much more interested in crawling after Molly and pulling on her ears! Poor Molly!! She was a good girl around him, I was very happy to see that.

It was great to be with our friends last weekend. Hopefully we can do it much more often!

Changing so fast!

We have been very busy around our house!! Mainly just playing with Taylor, but I can't think of anything better to do! She is changing and learning new things everyday. Right now she enjoys to scream very loudly for now reason. We laugh every time she does it. We have been staining our deck all week long! My gosh it took forever. It looks great but I don't want to do that ever again!

She is also rolling over. She is able to roll from her back to her tummy but not the other way. She hasn't figured that out just yet. She has done it a few times but mainly she gets to her tummy and then gets stuck!

We have also been feeding her baby food for the last month. She wasn't too sure of it at first but now she gobbles it all up!! She is a little piggie!!

Yesterday our friends Josh and Anna Kathryne found out they are having a little girl!! I am so excited for them. And for the record I said it would be a girl. Zach guessed a boy, but I think all guys want little boys. I can't wait to go shopping with AK for girlie stuff!! It will be lots of fun!

Here a few new pictures of Taylor!!

Great Weekend!!

We went to see the Easter bunny today! She didn't cry, thankfully but we never could get a smile! Oh well, at least her picture isn't of her screaming, haha! I don't get the pictures until Monday but I will post them as soon as I get it. The dress she is wearing is one that Hannah or myself wore when we were that size. Pretty neat I think. Mom gave me a ton of them, so I am sure there are many more pictures to come! I just love those dresses. They are so sweet. I can't wait for Easter. I have already made her Easter basket and have her outfit. A lady in Jonesboro makes all kinds of personalized outfits, so she is making Taylor and Heath matching shirts!! Should be cute!

This is our newest thing. The BUMBO!!! She loves it. She wants to be so independent when it comes to sitting up...so this solves our problem! She also loves the tv! She will just stare. I was watching Sex and the city movie one afternoon and it was a scene where all four girls were smiling and laughing I looked over at Taylor and she began smiling at them! To cute!!

We visited Memphis recently! We had a blast. Mommy and Daddy went out to eat with friends. It was nice to be out with friends. Man, did I miss our little girl though. It is hard being away. Just wondering what she is doing and if she is ok! I admit I called a text Jennifer and Carol a few times...sorry guys!! lol

Here is our sweet angel smiling! She does this a lot now. She thinks everything is funny. We are trying hard to get her to giggle. I think she is getting there. She is making some new screaming noises that are just hilarious! She does something new everyday. It is just amazing to watch her grow and learn!!

Also this weekend, Zach and I have been doing some landscaping. Boy is it hard. It is difficult to pick out plants that will last. We finally just went and asked a lady to help us decide. She was very helpful, now we just have to plant them! We are learning. We are new at all of this stuff! Hope it turns out nice!

Road Trip

Taylor and I took our first road trip together this weekend! We did it all alone. I was not very excited about traveling without Zach. I hated that he wasn't able to make it. Taylor and I traveled to Eureka Springs to see Ransom get married! yes, Ransom got married!! We are all very happy for him. The wedding was beautiful, well what I got to watch anyways. Myself, Taylor, Baby Heath and Heath watched from windows outside. Screaming babies aren't very welcomed at weddings, lol. Baby Heath just didn't want to sit still so he became upset. I looked up and the piano lady was staring at him, lol. Geez, lady he is just a baby. We all went and had a dinner reception. Lots of the family stayed up and visited but me and Taylor were exhausted! I am a little jealous of Rans and Brenda they are now in Rome, Italy for their honeymoon!! How awesome! Congrats to them and we are excited to have a new family member!
Poor Taylor wasn't feeling good all weekend. She had a terrible cough and low grade fever. So you can imagine how fussy she was all weekend. OH well, we made it through. It was great seeing all of my family. I just wish we could have spent more time with everyone!!
Zach took Taylor to the doctor today (yes all by himself!!! I have a great husband ) and she has ear infection and bronchitis. She must not feel too bad because she just smiled all day. We just love to see her smile!! Now we are waiting on a giggle!
Here are some pics from the wedding!

Mommy and Taylor!
Tomorrow is our 2 year wedding anniversary! I can't believe it has been that long already. Yes, I know 2 years isn't very long but it seems like yesterday we got married. It was pretty neat that my brother got married the same weekend I did just 2 years later! Well Happy Anniversary to us! We don't have any special plans. Zach is leaving in the morning to go a four-wheeler ride with about 12 guys from work. So Taylor and I will spend Mommy and Daddy's anniversary together. I am sure Zach and I will go out to dinner sometime this week!
That is about all of the excitement we have going on right now. We are looking forward to our visit to Memphis in a few weeks!! I am sure we will have lots of pics to share!

Back to Work

Well I have been back to work for almost 2 weeks now. I have to say I am glad to be back at work but I have my bad days. The first day I dropped her off of coarse I cried!! It was sad to think I wasn't going to be with her all day! I was in a hurry to get home that day! It has gradually gotten easier to leave her each day. I had a bad day this week when a note from the babysitter said how alert and that she was holding her head up during tummy time. It made me sad that I was not there to see or praise her for being such a big girl. But I remind myself I am not the only person who has children and works! We are very lucky to have someone like Becky to take care of Taylor!

Becky's boys just love Taylor! They talk to her all day long. Becky's says she just stares at them (since she still won't smile). Carson, Becky's oldest boy, calls her Tator. He can't get Taylor out, but I think it is adorable. He gets so excited when Tator's daddy comes to get her, lol.

Hi Molly!!

Zach is adjusting as well to me being at work. He picks Taylor up around 3:30 each day. He is getting quality time with her! Sometimes she is pretty upset but they are both getting the hang of it!

Like I said we are still waiting on her to smile. I can't stand it, I just want a big smile!! She is holding her head up now. I was so amazed when I realized she was doing it. It seems like yesterday we brought her home.

Update on The Lease Family

Ok so I am TERRIBLE at keeping up with my blog! It is fun to do but really hard to find the time to do it. I didn't even realize I haven't updated this until AK brought it to my attention (thanks AK for the reminder!!!) I should set myself a reminder that way I may actually remember to update every once in awhile.

So, Taylor is 5 weeks old already!! I can't believe how fast it has gone already. Every moment had been amazing. I must admit, it has tested me a few times. People can tell you, but you don't fully understand the stress and work it takes with a newborn. Oh how life changes! I am watching each hour waiting for the next time to feed her. Oh and sleep, well should I say lack there of.... it is just amazing how your body can adjust to a few hours of sleep a night. I find myself the next day tired, but just as happy as if I had slept 8 hours. Just one look at her beautiful face is all I need to push through another day and long night. Crying.... As a couple with no children we got so annoyed by crying children in restaurants. Now we don't even notice. We have an appreciation for crying babies and the work that goes into it.(lol) My favorite change in myself and Zach is how much more we appreciate each other and our lives! She has changed everything, the way we actually slow down to enjoy life, how much our patience has increased and how great we work together as a team. We just love her so much and don't know how we could love someone anymore!! We are so happy to have her and don't really know what we did before!

who does she look like?

Everyone has a different opinion on who she looks like! I just can't tell. I see similar features from the both of us. Only time will tell! We are wondering if her eyes will stay the pretty blue or not. Zach has brown eyes and mine are a brown/green. I hope they stay blue, but I am betting they change in the next month or so!
On to the sad subject. I start back to work on Monday. I am glad to go back to work because I LOVE my job. I am so lucky to have ended up in such a great clinic. But what I think about is that Sunday is my last day to ONLY be Taylor's mommy! Do I want to be a stay at home Mom? I don't really think so. I am proud of my career and all the work I have done to get there. It is not nearly as rewarding as my wonderful baby, but very rewarding in itself. If it was possible it would be easy to stay home for the first 2 years and then go back to work it would be worth it. But this is all my thinking during my nervousness to go back to work. I will get used to it but Monday is going to be hard. We are very lucky in that she is going to be staying with my good friends sister at her home with her 2 children. I am so glad that we didn't have to send her to a daycare with 30 other infants! That does make the process a whole lot easier. We know and trust Becky, also I know Becky won't mind if I call her 15 times a day to check on Taylor!

my favorite picture!

Ok I really am going to try to blog a lot more! Oh when Taylor was 3 weeks old I had some pictures made of her the website is http://www.photographybyjuliejones.com/ go into print shop. You will have to register at her site but this only takes a few minutes. The access log is: taylorlease. I hope you like them I know I loved them!! Now I just have to decide which ones to buy!
